Smartphone battery explosion incidents just don’t seem to die down. After the infamous Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, reports have emerged of an iPhone 7 Plus battery blowing up in Arizona.
On Wednesday, Brianna Olivas, an Arizona teen posted a Twitter video on which her iPhone 7 Plus can be seen spewing out smoke from its molten case.
She tweeted “So my IPhone 7 plus blew up this morning … was not even using it, literally no explanation for this.”
The video has since been massively retweeted and demanded a logical explanation from Apple team.
Here is the video:

Commenting on the incident, an Apple representative told Mashable “We are in touch with the customer and looking into it”.
Earlier reports have also suggested some similar incidents taking place in different parts of the world.
A Florida woman in early February this year reported her iPhone 6 Plus exploding in the middle of the night.
An Australian management consultant, Gareth Clear also tweeted about a similar incident, wherein his iPhone 6 exploded in his back pocket after he fell off his bicycle. He later required a Skin Graft surgery.
