New Delhi: As the unprecedented rains and floods in Chennai have disrupted normal life and restricted people's movement from homes, Airtel has announced a few following measures to facilitate communication between people.
The company has announced auto approval of talktime credit of up to Rs 30 and free of cost credit of 10 minutes for Airtel-to-Airtel calling for all prepaid mobile customers with a validity of 2 days.
Also, Airtel is also giving prepaid mobile customers free 50 MB of mobile data, which will also be valid for 2 days.
Airtel postpaid and fixed line customers whose bills are due to be paid immediately will get an extended time to make the payment and will experience uninterrupted services.
The uninterrupted rains have also resulted in excessive water logging and disruption of essential services in Chennai, thus causing power failures and impacting services in some regions.
