Found After A Year: Here’s How Apple Watch Was Recovered From Under The Ocean
Apple has a robust Find My network that works for its devices even if they are offline but going under the ocean and still working is surely a miracle.

Many people use the Apple Watch for varied health purposes, which includes going for a scuba dive in the ocean wearing the smartwatch to help them track their fitness data. But excursions like these can be risky as you can easily lose the Apple Watch deep in the ocean which can be a nightmare to recover.

That’s exactly what happened with one person who even documented the whole story in a video but the twist in the script is that he was able to get his Apple Watch back, more than a year after it was lost in the ocean.

Apple Watch Recovery After More Than One Year – How It Happened

The person named Jared Brick went scuba diving regularly but one day, when he returned from his dive, he noticed the Apple Watch was no longer there on his wrist. “I’m wearing it and poof, its gone, slide off my wrist and into the water. I didn’t realise it at the time, so distracted by the true beauty of that place,” said Brick.

The good thing about Apple devices is that unless it was stolen, the Find My network is reliable and it showed the value to Brick once again. In the video he says, he decided to mark the Apple Watch as lost on the Find My network and he was hoping that some miracle happens and he is able to get the unit back.

The Unexpected Ending

Funnily enough, that’s exactly what happened. He got a voicemail from someone near the area where the Apple Watch was lost, who claimed that they found the supposed unit. Things got further interesting as the Apple Watch, recovered after more than a year from the ocean, was working and showed the message that Brick had put it for the Find My network. Brick finally got the Apple Watch delivered to his residence and you could sense the joy and relief he had when he saw it in the flesh.

Apple Find My and other tracking networks are helpful, even if the device goes offline. So, we can’t stress this enough but you should enable the Find My feature on your Android or Apple device right away.
