New Delhi: His Facebook account might be secure from hackers but CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly fallen prey to digital miscreants who compromised the billionaire's other social media accounts.

Zuckerberg's Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Twitter accounts appeared to have been briefly compromised by hackers and in some cases were also defaced.

It is unclear if Zuckerberg's personal email address was also compromised in the attack in case the accounts were linked through the same account. A report by Engadget hints at the LinkedIn's 2012 password breach behind the attack on Zuckerberg's account.

Hacker group OurMine, which consists of a small team of teenaged hackers based in Saudi Arabia, is believed to be behind the attack. Some media reports state that the hackers wanted to 'test Zuckerberg's security'.

The hackers had posted screenshots of the compromised accounts on Twitter along with revealing the password 'dadada' Zuckerberg apparently used for his LinkedIn account. But, at the time of writing, the proof of the act appears to have been removed from the microblogging site and the account associated too has been suspended.

Facebook has confirmed that Zuckerberg’s Instagram account was not accessed, despite what the attackers claimed. A spokesperson said that no Facebook systems or accounts were accessed and the affected accounts have been re-secured.
