LG has confirmed a new piece of information about its upcoming flagship, LG V30. Expected to launch on August 31, LG V30 has been ascertained to come with an OLED display. With this move, LG is going for a reduced bezel area in its upcoming flagship. LG has also confirmed that the LG V30 will sport a curved display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. LG is making a shift back to an OLED display smartphone after more than 2 years, since the launch of LG G Flex 2, back in 2015.
LG claims the LG V30 to be the ‘first ever device to feature a plastic OLED FullVision display’. This contributes towards a larger display size and a smaller body size than the previous LG flagship, the LG V20. LG‘s logo has been shifted to the back of the device from its below-display position, allowing a 50 percent reduced bezel area than the LG V20. A similar 20 percent bezel area reduction from the top has also been confirmed by LG. The Quad HD+ OLED screen will also carry VR capabilities and HDR10 support. Earlier reports had also suggested at the OLED technology being used in the next LG flagship. Other features that the LG V30 is expected to come with are:
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
Battery: 3200 mAh
