After the recent Nokia 2 render leaks, the entry-level Android offering by Nokia has made its way to the GeekBench platform. Rumoured to be powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 or a Snapdragon 212 SoC, Nokia 2 might just come as Nokia’s most affordable smartphone offering. The listing on the GeekBench reveals other specifications about the Nokia 2, such as a 1GB RAM, Android 7.1 Nougat OS and a score of 422 in the single-core test and 1146 in a multi-core test.
A step below the Nokia 3, the Nokia 2 is rumoured to sport a 5-inch display and a design with rounded edges. It may also come with on-screen Android navigation buttons.
Another Nokia launch to look forward to is the Nokia 8, expected to be unveiled at an event by Nokia in London on August 16. The Nokia 8 is anticipated to come with a dual camera setup powered by Carl Zeiss optics. Apart from this, it may sport a 5.3-inch Quad HD display, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage.
With the latest Nokia 2 listing on the GeekBench, there is a possibility that HMD Global maybe looking at a dual launch on August 16.
