After unveiling the Galaxy Note 7 at the Unpacked 2016 in New York earlier this month, Samsung has launched the successor of the Galaxy Note 5 in India at Rs 59,900. The phone will be available for sale from September 2, 2016. Consumers will be able to pre-order the device starting 22 August and they will also have the option of buying the Gear VR at Rs 1,990.
The Galaxy Note 7 features a new S-Pen and in addition to a fingerprint sensor, the phone also comes with iris scanning technology. It comes with a curved 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The new S Pen, on the other hand, comes with a 0.7mm tip comes with improved pressure sensitivity. It is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and the other four at 1.6 GHz. It includes 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 gets a similar Dual-Pixel camera seen on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The rear camera has a 12 megapixel, f1.7 camera with optical image stabalisation and for selfies you get a 5 megapixel, f1.7 front camera. The Galaxy Note 7 will be available in Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx colours.
