New Delhi: Samsung may not have launched the much-anticipated Gear S2 smartwatch at its event on October 14, but the company is planning to soon bring it to India.

According to our source at Samsung, the South Korean giant is working on launching the Gear S2 smartwatch in India in November. But before the smartwatch hits the Indian shores next month, there is a smartphone launch scheduled for the Indian market this month, said the source, adding that the phone is likely to be launched by the end of this month. There is, however, no information as to which smartphone model that would be.

Unveiled to the world at IFA 2015 in September, the Gear S2 has a circular design and its rotating bezel is said to allow for quick and precise navigation.

The Gear S2 features a 1.2-inch round display with a resolution of 360x360 pixels. It runs Tizen OS and includes a 1 GHz dual-core processor. A fully-charged Gear S2 is claimed to last up to 2-3 days.

The smartwatch also comes with NFC technology to enable mobile payments without the need for a wallet. It supports wireless charging.

The Samsung Gear S2 comes in a Dark Gray case with a Dark Gray band and Silver case with a White band.
