Adnan Khan, the talented actor known for his role in the show Katha Ankahee, recently shared his perspective on the impact of OTT platforms in the television industry. Speaking to a media portal, Adnan expressed his understanding of the specific audience that television caters to and the content they enjoy.

“Television has its own specific audience, and they enjoy the content it provides. But there are times when shows try to break the mould, like my previous show. It’s all about giving wholesome stories that go beyond the usual norms of television. And you’re right, darker content might not always be appreciated by the television audience, as they have their own preferences,” the actor said.

“That’s where OTT platforms come in. They offer different types of content, and it has definitely raised the bar for performances. It’s inspiring to see such beautiful performances, and it pushes you to do even better. So, yeah, OTT has definitely made an impact on the way we perform,” the 35-year-old actor added.

Adnan Khan was recently seen in Katha Ankahee. The show, which concluded last month enjoyed a massive fan following. It starred Adnan Khan and Aditi Sharma as Viaan and Katha respectively. Their on-screen chemistry was widely loved by all.

Katha Ankahee revolved around Katha, a single parent, who required financial help for her son’s medical treatment. While looking for a job for herself, she came across Viaan, a businessman. He offered her help but also put her in an awkward situation. Over time, the two fell in love with each other. However, a tragedy changed their lives when they decided to marry.

Next, Adnan will be seen in Pracchand Ashok along with Mallika Singh. In the show, Adnan will be essaying the role of emperor Ashoka. It will air on Colors TV soon.
