Bigg Boss OTT 3's Naezy Reveals His Parents Were Against Rapping Career: 'I Became A Rebel'

Rapper Naezy aka Naved Sheikh has been making several revelations about his past life on the reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3. In the recent episode, he opened up once again, sharing how his parents were against his rapping career. While talking to his fellow contestant Ranvir Shorey, he expressed his love for films and crafts, saying that his family never allowed him to indulge in such activities.

Naezy said, “Maine bohot movies dekhi hai jab main bada ho raha tha. Main ghar waalon se bach bach ke chup chup ke dekhta tha. (I’ve seen a lot of movies when I was growing up. I used to sneak and hide from my family so they wouldn’t find me watching films).” When Ranvir asked about the reason, he added, “Ghar par mana karte the no theatre, no TV, nothing. No music (It was forbidden at home – no theatre, no TV, nothing. No music).”

Adding to this, Ranvir asked the rapper, “Was it an orthodox family?” to which Naezy responded, “Yes.” The Khosla Ka Ghosla actor further asked him about how he became a professional rapper.

Naezy said, “Chup Chup ke. I became a rebel now. It was difficult to convince my parents but kis hadh tak main kamiyab hua. Ab 10 saal hogaye na mujhe, ab unko thoda toh samajhta hai ke jaane do, jo tera dil kar raha hai toh tu kar le. Tu galat hai, sahi hai woh allah ko pata hai, tujhe pata hai. Aisi understanding mein hoon main. Lekin family mein baaki logon ne bhi thoda bhadkaya. (I used to do it secretly. Now I’ve become a rebel. It was difficult to convince my parents, it’s been 10 years now and they somewhat started to understand. Now they tell me, ‘Go ahead and do what you love. Whether it’s right or wrong, only Allah knows and you know.’ That’s the understanding we have now. However, other family members also provoked).”

Replying to Naezy, the Tiger 3 actor said, “The people who instigate parents are jealous of your achievement. They don’t like someone else’s son is doing well in life. This is human nature.”
