Reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla and Roadies always keep the audience hooked, and with each passing season, the drama and twists intensify. Among the contestants who gained immense popularity is Kevin Almasifar, who captured hearts with his competitive spirit in Roadies 18 and Splitsvilla 13. Despite winning the admiration of many, Kevin faced unexpected eliminations in both shows, leaving fans disappointed. In Roadies, a single misstep by his team led to his departure, despite his stellar performance throughout the season. On the other hand, in Splitsvilla 13, Kevin won tasks and stood as a tough competitor until an altercation with Shivam Sharma resulted in his eviction. Recently, Kevin shared his side of the story on Bhavya Singh aka Lady Don’s podcast, where he spoke about his unfair eviction and shed light on past instances like Prince Narula’s controversial win despite slapping a fellow contestant.
He shared, “I feel like people have grown and they’ve come to an understanding that life is not the same as it used to be 10 years ago. Like you won’t get cancelled 10 years ago for the shit you do and the shit you say like, ‘how can she slap? How can she be slapped?’ It’s true how she can slap, but now people are thinking about it in a way where it’s like violence but back then it was cool. Prince slapped someone and he won the show, I defended myself and I got kicked out of the show.”
For those not aware, Kevin Almasifar’s journey in Splitsvilla 13 took an unexpected turn when he got entangled in a physical altercation with Shivam Sharma, leading to his elimination from the show. Kevin’s actions were a violation of the rules. In a recent interview, Almasifar provided insights into the incident, explaining that he was attempting to defend himself during the argument. However, the situation escalated beyond his control, due to which he faced the consequences.
“I did say it was a reaction, like when I hit Shivam, I could have controlled myself. At that moment, I just had so much hate and anger in my head. I didn’t want to hurt him but I just wanted to show him that whatever you do is you talk and whatever I do this is who I am. I could have controlled myself. I could have picked him up and thrown him in the pool. That’s what others said like, ‘Why didn’t you just throw him in the pool?’ I’m like, ‘I should have’,” Kevin Almasifar explained.
In Splitsvilla 13, Jay Dudhane and Aditi Rajput were declared as the winners of the show.
