It was only a few days back when Nishi Saxena announced her departure from Anupamaa with a touching post on Instagram, comprising a video montage attached to an emotional note. The caption read, “After two fantastic years, it is time to say goodbye to Dimple. This journey has been nothing short of life-changing. From portraying many roles in one character to developing as an actor and a person, I have learned a lot along the way. This is my first big break, and I am immensely grateful for every moment. I want to thank the fantastic producer rajan shahi, directorskutproduction, starplus and the entire crew for believing in me and making this possible.”

She added, “Working on India’s number one TV show was almost a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From being a fan of the show to really being a part of it, I believe manifesting truly worked out.”

Backed by producer Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production, Anupamaa is headed for a 15-year generational leap. While Rupali Ganguly has been retained, most of the cast had to bid farewell. In a new promo, the makers of Anupamaa introduced new faces like Alisha Parveen and Shivam Khajuria whereas Rupali was seen essaying an elderly woman running her own business.

Ever since its inception, Anupamaa has remained on top of the TRP charts. Interestingly, the show is an official Hindi remake of the popular Bengali series Sreemoyee.
