Among them is popular television actress and soon-to-be mom, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who recently gave her fans a glimpse of her festive preparations. She shared updates on Instagram, offering a sneak peek into how she is celebrating the occasion at home.
On Friday, the Saath Nibhana Saathiya actress posted a reel with the caption, “Welcoming Bappa into our home with open hearts and joyous spirits!” and the song Aarambh playing in the background. The video began at an idol store, which showcased a variety of idols of Lord Ganesha. Next, Devoleena was seen inside her home, decorating it to welcome Bappa with great pomp and zeal.
The actress was seen wearing a loose green dress as she made the arrangements. Meanwhile, her furbaby was also seen in the video, adorably looking at her while she carefully decorated her home with a variety of flowers. On the other hand, Devoleena’s husband, Shanawaz Shaikh, carried the idol of Lord Ganesha to their home. The actress chanted “Ganpati Bappa Morya” and was ready with a “puja ki thali”.
There have been speculations about Devoleena’s pregnancy for quite some time. On August 15, the actress finally revealed that she was expecting her first child with Shanawaz. She shared a few glimpses from a puja at her Mumbai residence, where she was seen radiating a pregnancy glow in a green saree. In the first few pictures, the actress was seen sitting with her husband. While the latter held their furbaby, Devoleena was seen with a toddler’s cloth, which had “You can stop asking now” written on it.
Sharing the pictures, the actress wrote, “Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life.”
Devoleena got married to beau, Shanawaz Shaikh, in December 2022 in a court ceremony in Lonavala. The actress faced immense backlash for her decision to have an inter-faith marriage. However, she never backed down from a fight and has always given the anonymous trolls befitting replies. On the professional front, Devoleena is seen in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya.
