Fierce Fight Breaks Out Inside Delhi Metro; Internet Says 'Wear Helmet To Travel'

Delhi Metro has of late become a hotspot of brawls and fights. From couples having heated arguments to women fighting over seats, Delhi Metro has seen it all. In a similar instance, two passengers were recently spotted fighting inside a moving train. The video of the altercation was captured by a fellow passenger and later went widely viral.

The clip shows two men getting involved in a fierce fight. One of them was accompanied by a woman who tried to mediate. Both the parties could be seen punching and kicking each other. Soon, other passengers intervened and stopped the fight before it could take an ugly turn.

Commuters were seen separating the two while none of them seemingly suffered any injury. The reason for the fight could not be ascertained. A commuter’s watch could also be seen breaking and falling to the ground amid the chaos. He then picked it up and got down from the train.

The person recording the video was seen reacting to the matter funnily. He turned the camera to himself to show his reaction to the entire drama.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). It was shared with a caption in Hindi, “दिल्ली मेट्रो मे चले लात घुसे I मेट्रो में एक लड़का लडकी के साथ एक लड़के की किसी बात पर लड़ाई हो जाती है, दूसरी तरफ़ एक लड़का वीडियो बनाता हुआ बार बार खुद को दिखा रहा है”, which can be loosely translated to, “People kicked and punched inside Delhi Metro. They had a fight over some issue. The video was clicked by another person.”

Social media users were quick to react to the video. A user wrote, “अब हेलमेट पहन कर जाना चाहिए मेट्रो में… (People should now wear helmet and travel in metro).” Another noted, “Jaroor ashleelta paros raha hoga saryeam janta me tabhi to pela gaya hoga. (The person must have been doing something obscene and that is why he was beaten up).”

Needless to say, such a thing is not first in Delhi Metro. Several similar incidents have come to light, many of which even see the intervention of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC). The metro authority keeps issuing advisory for commuters and urges them to refrain from unruly behaviour inside the premises.

What's your reaction?
