People understood that the man named Charles had lived without his partner, Joan Mary, for six years.

People often use park benches to commemorate the life and memories of their loved ones. It is one of the beautiful ways to pay tribute to a person who made added happiness in your life. It also offers an element to give insight into a person’s life or mind. There are several notable scenes in superhit films like Good Will Hunting, Forrest Gump and Notting Hill, where the love stories develop on park beaches. Now, in a recent viral social media post, lovers’ plaques on a bench are gaining attraction from people as they feel sorry for the guy. On the social media platform, Reddit, when a person read the memorabilia of a couple, he writes that he feels sorry for the man in the relationship. While sharing the photo of the bench, the owner of the Casual UK page wrote, “I feel kind of sorry for Charles,” in the caption section of the post. In the photo, on one strip, the name of a woman named Joan was written along with her life span from 1933 to 2011. It was accompanied by the inscription that “Joan liked this park very much.” On the other strip, a man’s name was written as Charles (Chick) along with his life span from 1931 to 2017. It read, “Chick loved Joan.”

By looking carefully at these plates, people understood that Charles had lived without Joan Mary for six years and after reading this, the users guessed that Chick would have been sitting on the bench in the park remembering Joan. The post has gone viral now.

One user wrote that it is sad but also beautiful after you realise that Chick must have been sitting on this bench for many years. One user wrote that at least both of them would be smiling at each other (in heaven). At the same time, a user told the person who sent the post that there was no need to express sorrow for Charles. He loved her and must have been happy while she was alive, he added, “ I think it’s a lovely image of how much Chick loved Joan, and how much he wanted everyone to know,” commented one of the users.
