India is celebrating its 78th Independence Day today, marking the country’s liberation from British rule in 1947. As the country comes together to celebrate the day when the Dominion of India became the Republic of India, people are taking to social media to share their patriotic fervour. An author celebrated Independence Day by playing a soulful rendition of India’s National anthem on musical instruments.
“On the eve of our Independence Day 2024, here are two versions of our National Anthem — One on the guitar, and the other on the harmonica,” wrote the author Arun Krishnan while sharing two videos on X (formerly Twitter).

In the videos, he is seen Indian National Anthem, ‘Jana Gana Mana’, on both guitar and harmonica. The video has left netizens spellbound and may have the same effect on you.

The video was shared on August 14. It has since then accumulated over 14,300 views and the numbers are still increasing. Many even took to the comments section of the post to share their thoughts.

Earlier, a video of a musician went viral on Instagram where he united both Indians and Pakistanis to sing AR Rahman’s composition Jai Ho in the United Kingdom. What’s more, a sea of people from both India and Pakistan surround him and sing the song from the 2008 crime romance Slumdog Millionaire in unison. Many were even waving flags of their respective countries, while others were recording the scene on their smartphones.
