Reacting to the video, an Instagram user said, "That is one happy gator."

While alligators are typically perceived as fearsome and intimidating, they are generally non-aggressive unless provoked. However, they remain a potential threat. Therefore, people are also always advised to maintain a safe distance from these reptiles. Nonetheless, a viral video featuring Coconut, a rare albino alligator, presents a surprising perspective. The video depicts Coconut thoroughly enjoying a back-scratching session, appearing remarkably content and delighted. This unique footage has garnered widespread attention, amusing viewers by revealing a more playful side of these creatures.

Shared on the Instagram handle of zookeeper Jay Brewer, the video was shot at The Reptile Zoo, known for housing various exotic species of reptiles, amphibians and arachnids. In the clip, Brewer can be seen using a brush to scrub the gator’s body while also interacting with it.

One cannot miss Coconut’s wide and big smile as he enjoys the ‘spa day’.

Along with the video, Brewer, in his caption, gave a brief albino gator cleaning tutorial. “Before cleaning your gator, make sure you have the correct tools at hand. I like to use a longer brush to make sure I get all the dirt out of there. Then apply the brush gently in a back and forth motion. And that, folks is how you clean a gator Jokes aside y’all Coconut is getting huge and there is a lot more to clean,” he wrote.

The video quickly went viral, garnering a lot of comments from viewers who enjoyed Coconut’s scratch session. Many were amused to watch his unusual behaviour. A user wrote, “It was a dog in its first life,” while another commented, “She is absolutely loving her bath massage!!!”

“How can a killing machine smile at you?” a user jokingly asked. Another comment read, “That is one happy gator.”

Notably, this is not the first time that the popular zookeeper has shared Coconut’s fun videos. In another video, a staff member was seen giving a relaxing scrub to the alligator, making it “smile hard.”

Popular YouTuber and the founder of Prehistoric Pets, Jay Brewer’s Zoo focuses mostly on selected captive-bred animals, especially his reticulated pythons. Apart from Coconut, the zoo also has another baby albino alligator named Zero.

His Instagram handle enjoys a massive following of over 7 million.
