Rejecting Marriage Proposals To Pursuing Master’s Degree Abroad, This Woman Surely A Role Model
Aishwarya Taukari not only earned a degree but also forged a successful career and ventured to a foreign land.

In a recent post, a woman proudly shared her inspiring journey of becoming the first in her family to earn a master’s degree. In a heartfelt post on LinkedIn, Aishwarya Taukari, despite being the youngest among four siblings, defied conventions, leaving her hometown to pursue higher education. She not only earned a degree but also forged a successful career and ventured to a foreign land.

“Last week I became the first in my family to graduate with a master’s Degree. I am now confident that I won’t be the last. The youngest of 4 children. I am the first woman to leave my hometown, go to college, get a degree, build a career, go to office and move to a different country,” she wrote.

Aishwarya’s journey wasn’t all smooth sailing. From playing cricket with the neighbourhood boys to courageously rejecting early marriage proposals, she defied societal norms from the start. She influenced her family to support her educational pursuits, embarking on internships away at home at just 19 and relocating to the busiest metro cities at the age of 21. Undeterred by skepticism, she took on the challenge of studying at one of the toughest communication schools even when “many at home believed it was all too out of reach for small-town girlies.”

Highlighting her professional journey, she thrived at a top PR firm before taking a 2.5-year hiatus for volunteering and living life on her own terms. She then decided to pursue further studies abroad “as a working woman with two jobs.” Even being told that her past experience didn’t matter, Aishwarya didn’t give up. She was ready to “adapt, change, and re-invent in a new market.”

“To be the first to do anything, anywhere is very scary. To be the first doesn’t mean to be perfect. It’s not an overnight journey that happens without any hiccups, wrong choices and U-turns. God knows I’ve made so MANY mistakes along the way,” she wrote further.

“It simply means you’re taking tiny, incremental steps, day to day that often go unnoticed. It means that you’re moving the needle, slowly and steadily so someone else in your family doesn’t have to fight as hard as you did,” she added.

Aishwarya wrapped her post with a motivating message, “Keep pushing. It’ll all come together someday and even if it doesn’t you’d have grown a lil more stronger than you were yesterday.”

Her post stirred a whirlwind of reactions online, with users pouring in their admiration. A user exclaimed, “Super awesome and inspiring! Congratulations, Aishwarya Taukari,” while another cheered, “Smaaassshhh Macha! Only the beginning. Fly high, shine bright Godspeed Jedi!”

“Wish to share with my family group, because I am in the same boat, I think somewhere down the line we all are. Tysm for posting this,” chimed in another.
