‘Some Lessons Are Learned The Hard Way’: Girl Loses Mobile Phone While On A Rollercoaster
Many internet users blamed the girl for losing her phone by using it while being upside down on a rollercoaster.

One would rarely think of using a phone while on a rollercoaster ride, but now a video is going viral that shows a girl using a phone while on a thrilling ride. Just as the rollercoaster turns upside down, she loses grip on her phone and drops it. She instantly expresses regret as her phone falls. It is unclear when and where this video was taken. Recently it was posted on X. So far this video has over two lakh views since it was posted on February 6. In the comments, many internet users blamed the girl for losing her phone by using it while being upside down on a rollercoaster.

An X user commented on the video, “Some lessons are learned the hard way." Another observed, “The irony of her friend using a phone to record this." An X user suggested, “You need a selfie glove or some cool item if you’re going to use your phone. If not, keep yourself and others safe by locking your phone up."

Most of the theme parks prohibit visitors from taking their phones or other loose items such as hats on high speed rides as they pose a danger of falling and in turn injuring others.

This is not the only video involving phones and roller coasters that went viral. In 2019, a stunning video showed a fistball player from New Zealand using his skills and catching a phone while being on a rollercoaster. The incident took place when Samuel Kempf was on a rollercoaster ride at a theme park in Barcelona when a phone came flying towards his right side. He reflexively grabbed the phone in his hands even as the ride was moving at the speed of 130 km per hour.

Kempf posted the video of his great catch on YouTube and wrote, “I was in Spain at Port Aventura on shambhala ride and saw the person a few rows ahead drop their IPhone X. Long story short I caught it. This roller coaster is moving at over 130kms…was once Europe’s tallest and fastest coaster.. Only recently beaten."

So far, this clip has over 69 lakh likes. Commenting on it, a YouTube user wrote, “I love how happy he is that he caught the phone, I’d be too! Knowing that he just totally made the owner’s day and mid-ride on a roller coaster? Awesome double thrill."
