Dipankar Jain, who’s been running his shop for 15 years, shared some fascinating history. He mentioned that this market dates back to the Mughal era, almost 300 years ago. According to him, wedding cards and other related items have been created here for centuries. He added that even during the times of kings and emperors, the metal used for writing letters was sourced from this very market.
Visiting this market is easy. Just get off at Chawri Bazaar Metro station on the Yellow Line. When you leave from Gate No. 2, you’ll see the market nearby, just a short walk away. It’s open every day from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, so you can visit whenever it suits you best.
