Heart-touching stories go viral on the internet daily. Recently, something similar happened. A person cremated an abandoned cat that died on the road. The video is currently going viral and is garnering everyone’s attention. In the viral clip, a dead cat’s body is seen lying beside a road. Then a man is seen who wraps the dead body of the cat lying on the roadside in a white towel with great respect and then carries it away. After this, he is seen carrying it to the cemetery, where he digs a pit. After digging the pit, first he puts flower petals in it, then he places the cat on top of those flowers, and then he sprinkles salt on it. After this, he puts the white towel over the cat, then again sprinkles the remaining flowers on it, and finally completes the process of burying it by putting soil on it. On the top, he also wrote ‘Ram’ with flower petals and placed dhoop sticks over it. The video was shared on Instagram about a week ago.

Be it someone’s mother or son, uncle or daughter, grandmother or best friend, Trivikrama Mahadeva picks the dead bodies lying on the roads and hospitals unclaimed and gives them a dignified funeral. Mahadeva has been in this service for the past 40 years and claims that he has buried over 77,882 dead bodies.

Mahadeva has been feted by the government and NGOs and was also conferred the Namma Bengaluru award. In recognition of his exemplary service, the Karnataka State Financial Corporation donated him a van as a part of its social service initiative to help him carry out his task effectively.

He also shared that he was given Rs 700 for an unclaimed body on the streets by the police, but if it is from the hospital, the hospital staff gives him Rs 250.
