In March this year, a similar incident was reported where an armed man hijacked a transit bus in downtown Los Angeles and then grabbed the wheel, causing the bus to collide with several vehicles and a hotel.
The Los Angeles Police Department had cleared that only the driver was onboard the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority bus when the hijacker boarded around 11:30 PM.
