Video: Revellers Hurl Punches, Kicks At Each After NYC Pride Parade In Washington State Park

Washington Square Park turned into a pit for brawls and wild chaos following New York City’s Pride Parade Sunday. Unruly mob of revellers fought with one another, twerked on top of cars and engaged in unruliness following the Pride parade.

Several, separate sets of people were seen fistfighting and pulling each other’s hair as parade revellers turned the Washington Square Park into something that looked like a combination of a mosh pit and a boxing ring.

Scores of onlookers made no attempt to stop them as they watched while laughing and some even were seen recording the brawls as a large crowd occupied the Lower Manhattan landmark.

At one point, two young men exchanged heavy punches before one fell to the ground. Moments later, two women briefly traded blows while a few bystanders attempted to break up the scuffle, as seen in the clip.

In another instance of violence, a woman with what seemed to be dried blood on her white shirt and bleeding from her face fought with another woman head-on, while the crowd cheered loudly, as seen in the footage.

Other incidents of violence included a woman pushing another off the edge of the park’s iconic water fountain, and another brawler pulling a woman in a pink shirt to the ground by her hair. The young woman in pink was dragged further before others intervened to help.

When the violence subsided, explicit antics took over. Clips showed multiple women twerking on a white vehicle.

As night fell, the NYPD announced Washington Square Park’s closure via loudspeaker, instructing people to leave. This led to arguments between the officers and park-goers.

It remains unclear if there were arrests.
