According to a report published in Team-BHP, Maruti Suzuki is silently replacing the steering assembly of the newly launched 2017 Dzire compact sedan. The electric steering assembly on the new Dzire are being replaced for all the cars sold till now.
Reports also suggest that the deliveries of the new Dzire are being halted across the dealerships till the steering assembly is being replaced on all the units waiting for sales. According to the Team-BHP, all the units in the manufacturing plant right now are being replaced by the new steering assembly, before the units reach the dealerships for sales. Maruti received a strong 44,000 bookings even before they started to sell the car.
The new Dzire, which was launched last month starts for Rs 5.45 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 9.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It comes in 14 different variant options, ranging across two engine options and 2 gearbox options.
