New Delhi: At the upcoming Auto Expo 2016, Indian car manufacturer Mahindra is likely to take the wraps off its XUV Aero coupe-crossover concept along with a host of new passenger and commercial vehicles.
1. Mahindra XUV Aero coupe-crossover concept
The Mahindra XUV Aero coupe-crossover concept is expected to be the highlight of the five-day-long auto extravaganza. The concept vehicle is based on the XUV500 and come packed with ne infotainment and connectivity features.
2. SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV
Other than the concept SUV, the company is also expected to unveil the SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV that has been already introduced in the international markets. Targeted at the young consumers, the SUV will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Maruti S-Cross, and Hyundai Creta when launched in the Indian market.
The Tivoli SUV is offered with a 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 128PS and 160Nm of torque while the diesel engine produces 115PS and 300Nm of torque. There is also the option of a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.
3. Reva e20 Sports electric car
A third highlight by the automaker is the Reva e20 Sports electric car. Based on the Mahindra Reva Halo, this could be an all-new two-seater EV that claims to cover around 200km when fully charged and reach the a top speed of 160kmph. It can reach 0-100kmph in under 8 seconds and comes powered by modern battery technology.
