Citroen And CAB-EEZ Infra Tech To Deliver 2,000 Units of e-C3 EVs
Citroen India recently announced that the two firms had signed a MoU under which the first 100 units of the e-C3 were launched.

French carmaker, Citroen announced that it will supply 2,000 units of its e-C3 electric vehicle (EV) to urban e-mobility company CAB-EEZ Infra Tech Pvt Ltd during the year.

Citroen India announced in a statement that the two firms had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which the first 100 e-C3 vehicles were launched.

This adds to the 200 e-C3 units currently in the Cab-E fleet, bringing the total number of units operating in Mumbai and Pune to over 300, it said. This collaboration aims to expand environmentally friendly mobility options in these bustling cities.

The MoU expands Cab-E’s fleet beyond the 200 e-C3 cars currently in service. As per reports, the first 100 units of the new batch were launched at an event in Mumbai. The ceremony was attended by Ashwani Muppasani, COO of Stellantis India-Asia Pacific Region, Shishir Mishra, Brand Director of Citroen India, and Cab-E Directors Kuldip Ghosh and Indraneel Chakravarty.

“Cab-E has been one of the early adopters of the e-C3. Their continued choice of this product is a validation of Citroen’s proposition as a key player in promoting sustainable transportation solutions,” said Citroen India Brand Director, Shishir Mishra as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, Cab-E Director and CEO Kuldip Ghosh stated that the agreement will benefit stakeholders while also catapulting Cab-E to a leadership position in the electric urban mobility sector.

Citroen’s partnership with Cab-E is a key step towards improving urban mobility through sustainable solutions. The addition of 2000 e-C3 EVs is reportedly intended to lower the carbon footprint of Mumbai and Pune, resulting in a cleaner and more efficient urban transportation system.
