Maruti Suzuki has emerged as the largest utility vehicle maker in the first quarter of FY18. The company has sold 57,125 units of utility vehicles like Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and S-Cross in Q1FY18 and recorded an increase of 45% (39,348 units) compared to the first quarter of FY17.
In the B-segment, the market share of the company has increased by 7.7% in the first quarter of FY18. During April-June 2017, MSIL market share in B-segment stood at 29.3% against 21.5% in the same months the previous year. The company launched compact SUV Vitara Brezza in 2016 and till date, 1.45 lakh units have been sold.
Additionally, company’s compact MUV Ertiga which has sold over 3.42 lakhs units since launch and over 18,700 units in Q1 has also helped the company attain a huge market share in UV segment.
Maruti Suzuki offers Compact SUV Vitara Brezza, Compact MUV Ertiga, and Premium Crossover S-Cross in UV segment.
