The top car maker in India Maruti Suzuki has been witnessing a decent sales hike, credit goes to some feature-loaded products including Ertiga, Swift, Brezza, and WagonR. Now, it has been reported that the brand is expected to increase the price range across lineups. The increased price will start affecting the models from January 2024.
While confirming the news, the carmaker said, “The company is planning to hike the prices of cars in 2024. The reason for taking the steps is increased cost pressure, followed by increased commodity prices and inflation bar in the country. However, the brand will try its best to keep maximum efforts to cut down costs and maintain the balance.”

The company has not shared the exact figures of the price hike as yet. However, some reports have suggested it might make every model expensive by between 1.1 percent to 1.2 percent. The official confirmation from the Maruti Suzuki is awaited.

This is not the first time Maruti Suzuki is going to make vehicles expensive. Earlier, the brand hiked the prices by 1.1 percent, making every segment costly.
Trend Followed By Audi India
Meanwhile, the Japanese carmaker is not the only brand that is experimenting with prices. The trend has been followed by the other car makers too including Audi India.
The company has announced a price hike on luxury cars, making the segment expensive by 2 percent. The new price range will be all set to apply to cars from January, next year.
