India celebrated its 75th Republic Day on Jan 26 this year. The celebration kickstarted from the National War Memorial with an eye-pleasing parade, where PM Narendra arrived with his convey, featuring JLR’s hand-built fully armed Range Rover Sentinel worth Rs 10 crore. This SUV has been designed by the company’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) Division in the UK.
PM Modi has been using the king-size SUV for the past few years, putting it on the top priority list when it comes to his official travel, rallies, and election campaigns. The vehicle has been treated with tons of rare features, keeping it stand out from the crowd.
Here’s Why Range Rover Sentinel So Special
The giant SUV comes with a set of armored glasses, which offers strong and top-notch safety to all the occupants inside the cabin. The glasses have been designed in such a manner that they can take the load of bullet attacks, and even deal with explosives and chemical assaults. It is filled with a long list of high-level safety features, ensuring the passengers inside it do not get a single scratch by any potential attacker.
Top Features
Talking about the top safety features, it comes with a custom-built front window, which offers an opening of only 150mm for exchanging or taking important documents without exposing the passenger. In case of an emergency or an encounter with a potential attacker, the SUV is equipped run-flat system, allowing it to run on punctured tires for more than 50km with an average speed of 80kmph.
Engine and Power
Under the hood, the four-wheeler is powered by a trust 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine, which generates a max power of 374 bhp. It has been claimed that the Sentinel can do a 0-100kmph time of 10.4 seconds and has an electronically restricted top speed of 193kmph,
