Karthika Nair is one of those actresses who have worked in all the four South film industries in equal measure. She also starred in a Hindi serial named Aarambh. Karthika, however, disappeared from public sight for the last 6 years and had no releases. This prompted many to believe that she has quit acting. Karthika has now recently come back to public light, but not because of any movie or TV show. She is getting married soon and has introduced her fans to her would-be-husband through a series of pictures posted on social media. Her fiance is named Rohit Mohan. The couple will get married in a grand ceremony in the coming months.

Karthika Nair was born to yesteryear actress Radha and her husband, Rajasekaran Nair. Her first foray into the world of cinema was with the Telugu film Josh opposite Naga Chaitanya. Karthika Nair made her debut in Tamil cinema with the KV Anand-directed film Ko, where she co starred with Jiiva. It was this film that gained her widespread recognition. Apart from Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films, she later portrayed the female lead opposite Arya in Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai and Bharathiraja’s Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum. Following her retirement from film in 2015, Karthika returned to television in 2017 with the Star Plus production of the epic drama Aarambh, which was helmed by Goldie Behl and scripted by V Vijayendra Prasad. She starred alongside Rajneesh Duggal in the series. She portrayed the warrior queen Devasena in the show, which the public and critics loved. After this show, she has avoided appearing in films or serials and has been reportedly managing her family’s luxury hotel business from their Mumbai headquarters.
