Actress Pooja Gandhi, who is known for films like Mungaru Male and Dandupalya, is reportedly set to marry soon. According to the latest updates, the actress is set to tie the knot with her businessman boyfriend named Vijay. More reports state that her long-time boyfriend is an entrepreneur and an owner of a logistics company. Vijay and Pooja are going to take their wedding vows on November 29, according to reports. The wedding is reportedly going to take place in Bengaluru’s Yelahanka, as per the mantra mangalya ritual. Nothing has been confirmed yet by Pooja.
Pooja Gandhi was earlier engaged to Anand Gowda, an industrialist, in 2012. After a month of their engagement, they broke up due to some unavoidable reasons. Before that, rumours of their marriage with distributor Kiran were also making headlines.
Pooja was born in a Punjabi family, and had to learn the Kannada language to work in the Sandalwood industry. Reportedly, her boyfriend Vijay has also helped her with learning Kannada.
Pooja Gandhi started her career in acting with television serial Zameen Se Aassman Tak, which was directed by Aruna Irani. At the age of 18, she made her debut in films with the Hindi movie Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2001. Then in 2003, she featured in a Bengali film titled Tomake Salam. In 2006, she did a Tamil film called Kokki.
She entered the Kannada film industry with the 2006-film Mungaru Male, which became a huge success. It was the first film in India to run in a theatre continuously for one year. When it was released, it became the highest grossing South Indian film of the year. The director of the film is Yogaraj Bhat, and it featured Ganesh and Pooja Gandhi as the protagonists.
Pooja Gandhi is also known for her female-centric Kannada film called Dandupalya, which was released in 2012. Directed by Srinivas Raju, the film became one of the most successful Indian films upon its release.
