'He’s A Drug Addict And Abuser': Varthur Santhosh’s Father-In-Law Accuses Him Of Violence

Varthur Santhosh, a contestant on Bigg Boss Kannada, is confronted with grave allegations by his father-in-law, accusing him of sexually assaulting his daughter and asserting that Varthur is grappling with drug addiction. Despite keeping his marital status confidential during his stint on Bigg Boss, recent disclosures unveil that he is married with a daughter, as evidenced by circulating wedding pictures on social media.

In a media interview, Somnath, Jayashree’s father and Varthur Santhosh’s father-in-law, asserted, “Varthur Santhosh is a dishonest person engaged in substance abuse, causing harm to my daughter. He is addicted to drugs.” Somnath also revealed, “I arranged my daughter’s marriage, but he assaulted her, and shortly after the wedding, his family proposed a divorce.”

Following his hospitalization at Spandana Hospital, I took on the responsibility of caring for Varthur Santhosh, fearing for his survival. After a two to three-month recovery period, I facilitated his return home. Despite my efforts and provision of everything, he displays inappropriate behaviour at his in-laws’ residence. Each evening, he returns home, indulges in alcohol consumption, and verbally abuses my daughter.

During one visit, he menaced me with a knife, attempting to harm me in front of a crowd of 30-40 people. Despite possessing stature and intelligence, he remains unresponsive to any counsel or guidance.

In the fifth-week eviction, contestant Varthur Santhosh chose to exit the show unexpectedly, citing undisclosed reasons. Contrary to viewer voting, he decided to leave the competition instead of Nithu Vaanjaksshi, the contestant chosen for eviction. Reports indicate that Santhosh emotionally confided in host Sudeep, expressing his inability to continue participating in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 despite the audience’s affection and support.

Varthur Santhosh faced a legal predicament last month when forest department authorities arrested him for wearing a tiger claw pendant while on the reality show. The incident unfolded on a Sunday night, triggering a swift response from authorities. The arrest took place within the premises of the TV program, with the production team escorting Varthur Santhosh out of the Bigg Boss house. The controversial incident, captured on camera, showcased Santhosh wearing a pendant adorned with a tiger claw, leading to legal consequences.
