LG launches Lead XI campaign
The winners of the contest would get to walk with cricketers during T20 WC.

New Delhi: LG India has launched a new campaign highlighting it's affiliation and commitment towards the endorsement of cricket. LG Electronics, the official sponsor for ICC World Twenty20 has launched the Lead XI Contest 2010 for kids, the winners of which would get an opportunity to walk with cricketers to the ground during the World Cup.

The consumer durable aims to boost the national cricket spirit by acknowledging the young talent. The contest starts on February 1, 2010 and ends on February 28, 2010.

"LG Lead XI, is an unparalleled initiative embarked by the ICC and driven by LG Electronics. LG India conducts a national level talent contest to select the children who would lead the Indian cricket team to the ground," an LG press release quotes LK Gupta, CMO, LG India as saying.

"The singing of National anthem by these young ambassadors along with the cricket team creates an aura of national pride and unity. We have put aside a total budget of Rs 10 crores for the Lead XI marketing initiatives."

Also commenting on experience is Vivek , who is a film Director in Lemon Tree Productions.

"It was a memorable experience shooting with these kids. The kids were very enthusiastic and poise is reflecting in the TVC as well, which communicates a very encouraging message to the aspiring participants," says Vivek.

Rejoicing the moment of fame the kids featured in the TVC said, "Watching cricket is our hobby and has now become our passion. Post our Lead XI trip we have become famous in all places. Everybody acknowledges our talent and associates us with cricket."
