Microsoft-backed OpenAI has roped in Pragya Misra to lead public policy affairs and partnerships in India
OpenAI, which is the maker of ChatGPT, has hired its first employee in India. The appointment of government relations head, according to a Bloomberg report. On April 19, India is witnessing the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls, which will elect a new government that will share AI regulations in the country.
Microsoft-backed OpenAI has roped in Pragya Misra to lead public policy affairs and partnerships in India, according to the Bloomberg report. Misra, 39, has previously worked at Truecaller as the public affairs head, and at Meta, where she led WhatsApp’s campaign against misinformation in 2018.
Misra is set to join OpenAI by the end of the month, according to the report.
