The rupee had ended marginally higher by 3 paise at 67.17 in Thursday's trade on mild dollar selling by banks and exporters.
Mumbai: Rupee was trading lower by 3 paise at 67.20 against the dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on Friday on increased demand for the US currency from importers.
Besides, strength in dollar against some other currencies overseas also weighed on the rupee but a higher opening in the domestic equity market capped the fall, dealers said.
The rupee had ended marginally higher by 3 paise at 67.17 in Thursday's trade on mild dollar selling by banks and exporters.
Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex recovered by 53.67 points or 0.19 per cent to 27,764.19 in early deals.
