New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India on Tuesday announced a price hike across models, including the popular Santro, to offset increase in costs of input materials and freight.
While the price of Santro will go up by Rs 3,500, the company's premium compact 'Getz' will be dearer by Rs 1601-2601, a company official said, adding that the hike would be effective from Wednesday.
The mid-size Accent will be costlier by Rs 1,600 to Rs 2,600 between variants while the Elantra sedan will be dearer by Rs 6,300. The CRDi LP variant of the Elantra will see prices go up by Rs 26,300.
The price of the luxury sedan Sonata and SUV Tuscon will see a marginal hike of Rs 700.
Hyundai had last month said that it would hike the prices of cars following a rise in costs of inputs as well as increase in freight rates.
