Satyam withdraws case against UK-based mobile firm
Satyam is on the backfoot again in a separate case of fraud and forgery.

New Delhi: Satyam is on the backfoot again in a separate case of fraud and forgery. UK-based mobile software provider Upaid - a client of Satyam - had filed a case against the erstwhile IT giant.

But now Satyam - which had filed a counter disparagement case against Upaid on January 8 in the US - has withdrawn the same.

However, a Texas court has denied Satyam's motion to dismiss fraud and forgery case. Satyam wants a state court hearing and not in federal court and alleged that there is not enough particularity for pleading fraud.

Upaid is already fighting a forgery case against Satyam and is looking for a testimony from former Satyam independent director, Krishna Palepu as well as Satyam Marketing Head, T Hari.

The case will be heard in the first week of June.

Upaid has said it is happy to see new reputed board and their focus on customers. The company, however, added that it has not reached out to the new board and that it will exercise patience.

What's your reaction?
