Mahalakshmi Sreenivasan, better known by her stage name Mohini, used to be one of the most sought-after actresses in the South film industry. Now away from showbiz, she revealed an interesting anecdote from her acting career in an interview. Mohini took a stroll down memory lane and recalled how she bagged the film Eeramaana Rojave while she was in class 9th.
Kothanda Ramaiah had written and directed this film. She said that the filmmaker gave her 5-star chocolate bars as a reward for acting in the movie. Kothanda also ensured that the task of acting remained a simple one for Mohini and was not replete with difficulties. Disco Shanti, Nassar, Chinnijayanth, Siva, and others also acted in this film.
Eeramaana Rojave was a commercial success, and the audience loved many aspects of this film, especially the music. Veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja composed the music. Eeramaana Rojave was later remade in Bollywood titled Abhi Abhi. Rajaram directed the movie.
