'I Look At Theories And Feel Happy': Lokesh Kanagaraj On Leo's Link With LCU
It is worth noting that ever since the film Leo was announced, fans have been speculating on different theories for it being a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s latest film, Leo, has made its debut in theatres today, and the response from both fans and critics has been overwhelmingly positive. The movie, featuring the renowned Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, has drawn large crowds to the theatres. Notable actors such as Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, and Mansoor Ali Khan also play pivotal roles in the film. During a media conference, the director discussed the film, Thalapathy Vijay and the surrounding controversies.

Lokesh Kanagaraj expressed, “There was no pressure during the shoot, but while delivering the film, I am feeling the pressure.” He also revealed that the decision for an IMAX release came later in the process, necessitating additional work. Kanagaraj credited the success of his previous film, Master, as the reason Leo became a reality, stating, “Since I showed them success with Master, Leo was possible. It is 100 per cent my film.”

Regarding the controversies surrounding the film, the director addressed his history with Vijay, saying, “Ever since we made Master, I know Vijay. Problems keep coming and going.” He explained that the use of a cuss word in the trailer was his responsibility, clarifying that it was not Vijay himself but his character in the film who uttered the word.

Fans have been speculating about Leo being part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) since its announcement. Lokesh responded, “The name LCU is given by fans, it’s not something I created. So it’s a huge responsibility.” He expressed his happiness when fans connected his films like Vikram and Leo through theories and encouraged a broader perspective on his work.

In a light-hearted remark, Lokesh urged people not to resort to buying black market tickets, as even he struggled to secure a ticket for himself. His words serve as a reminder of the immense anticipation and excitement surrounding the film.
