Vijay Antony's Wife Fatima Shares Rare Pic of Daughter Meera Days After Death: 'I'm Drowning, Dying'

Vijay Antony’s wife Fatima shared her first social media post following the sudden death of their daughter, Meera. The 16-year-old died September 19 at her residence in Chennai. She died by suicide as per reports. The music composer’s wife, on Monday night, took to X (previously known as Twitter) to share a rare picture of Meera along with a heartbreaking note. Fatima addressed the note to Meera and said that she is ‘drowning and dying’ following her death. The post has since gone viral and fans have reached out to the couple to extend their support.
“If I’d known u will live only for 16 yrs, I would have just kept u very very close to me,not even shown you to the sun and moon,am drowning and dying with ur thoughts,can’t live without you ,come back to babba and amma.laara keeps waiting for u,love u Thangam,” Fatima wrote, tagging Vijay Antony.

Several social media users reached out to Fatima and offered their prayers for the family. “Mother’s love is deeper than the deepest ocean.. no words to describe your grief Fathima mam.. sending you and your family all the strength to bear this loss. Meera is always with you,” a post read. “Stay strong sister May god be with your family,” added another. “Stay Strong Mam. All our thoughts are with you & Sir. Pls Be strong,” a third user wrote.
Last month, shortly after Meera’s death, Vijay also shared a post on X and poured his heart out. “My daughter Meera is the most kind-hearted and brave. She has left this world and gone where there is no creed, caste, religion, money, jealousy, pain, poverty, or evil. She has gone to a place that is peaceful. (I feel) she is still talking to me. I also died from within when she died. Now, I have started to spend time with her,” he said in the letter.
“Any good deed that I will start will be under her name. I believe all these will be started by her,” Vijay concluded the letter.
