The BCCI men’s team selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar has announced the squads for the second round of Duleep Trophy 2024 starting September 12 in Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh). Those who have been called up in India squad for the first Test against Bangladesh will not feature in the second round including the likes of Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Axar Patel among others.

Pratham Singh (Railways) will replace Gill in India A squad while Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha CA) comes in place of KL Rahul. Andhra batter SK Rasheed has been named wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel’s replacement.
Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will replace Kuldeep in the squad whereas Aaqib Khan (UPCA) will replace Akashdeep in the squad.
Mayank Agarwal has been named captain of India A.
India A updated squad: Mayank Agarwal (C), Riyan Parag, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, Prasidh Krishna, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Kumar Kushagra, Shaswat Rawat, Pratham Singh, Akshay Wadkar, SK Rasheed, Shams Mulani, Aaqib Khan
Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh have been roped in as replacements for Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant respectively.
Meanwhile Sarfaraz Khan, who has also been named in India’s squad, will feature in the second-round game.
India B updated squad: Abhimanyu Easwaran (C), Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, Mukesh Kumar, Rahul Chahar, R Sai Kishore, Mohit Awasthi, N Jagadeesan (WK), Suyash Prabhudessai, Rinku Singh, Himanshu Mantri (WK)
Axar Patel, who was part of India D, will be replaced by Nishant Sindhu (Haryana CA). Tushar Deshpande is ruled out of the second round owing to a niggle and he will be replaced by India A’s Vidwath Kaverappa.
