Since the BCCI has invited applications for Team India’s next head coach, names of potential candidates have been popping up to be on the Indian cricket board’s radar. Primarily, it was learned that Rahul Dravid, whose extended tenure ends after the T20 World Cup, doesn’t want to reapply for the post. Several reports claimed that the BCCI is keen to rope in former New Zealand captain and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming, given his track record in the IPL and other T20 leagues across the world. The recent name that has been doing rounds is of former India opener and 2-time World Cup winner, Gautam Gambhir.
