After a thrilling end to their whitewash of Bangladesh in the two-match Test series, it’s time for some short-form action, as India prepares to take on the Hossain Shanto-led visitors in a three-match T20I series, starting from Sunday onwards.
Ahead of their anticipated first encounter at Gwalior, the Indian team was seen zoned in at training, as the likes of Hardik Pandya, skipper Suryakumar Yadav and more were spotted partaking in some high-intensity fielding drills under the watchful eye of T Dilip.
In a clip posted by BCCI on their official X account, the Indian players are seen sweating it out, as they practice run-out strikes and sharpen their accuracy in their drill.

The series opener is scheduled to take place in Gwalior on October 6, and the next two will take place in Delhi and Hyderabad on October 9 and 12, respectively.
Suryakumar Yadav will lead India in the shortest format series at home, and no player from the Test squad has been picked for the T20I series. On the other hand, Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the Bangladeshi team in T20Is as well and would like to end Bangladesh’s wait of securing its first ever series win over India.
The series will also see the likes of Hardik Pandya back in action for India, as pace sensation Mayank Yadav may also finally receive his first international cap for India.
The Delhi-based Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav earned his maiden India call-up for the Bangladesh series after making headlines in IPL 2024. The right-arm pacer bowled in excess of 150 kmph for the KL Rahul-led side in the 2024 edition of the cash-rich league.
He, however, missed the majority of the season due to injury. But now, after recovering well, he is all set to play for India.
India’s squad for T20I series against Bangladesh:
Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (WK), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, JItesh Sharma (WK), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav.
