Ahead of the 3rd Test match between India and England, here's the head-to-head and how the hosts could line up

India and England will face each other in the 3rd Test on Thursday. After losing their opening game in Hyderabad, India was able to level the series 1-1 by beating the visitors in Visakhapatnam. In the absence of the experienced. Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli, the young duo of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal led from the front in the second Test.

India who were batting first in that match where Jasiwal smashed a double-century against the Englishmen to help India reach 396 runs in the first innings. In the second innings, Gill smashed his first ton of the series to maintain India’s significant lead. On the bowling front, Jasprit Bumrah produced a master class to scalp nine wickets across both of England’s innings which led to a 106-run victory for the hosts over the visiting English side.

With Shreyas Iyer dropped from the squad and KL Rahul ruled out of the third Test, it could be a debut for the likes of Sarfaraz Khan or Dhruv Jurel in the upcoming Test.

India will play England at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on February 15 in their third Test. The Ben Stokes-led side proved their mettle in Hyderabad after Ollie Pope turned the match around by smashing 196 runs in 278 balls. They simply failed to produce a similar momentum in their second Test match, falling short, especially on the bowling front. They will now be eyeing to beat the hosts to regain their lead in India.
