Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan recently hosted Sachin Tendulkar at his residence. Irfan also shared some glimpses of the get-together uploading a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In those pictures, Tendulkar was seen spending time with members of the Pathan family. Irfan’s father was also present there. He clicked a picture while sitting alongside his son and the Master Blaster in the drawing room. Tendulkar also shared frames with young members of the family including Irfan’s sons– Imran and Suleiman. One of them was captured posing with Tendulkar while holding a Team India jersey in his hands.

Thanking Sachin Tendulkar for accepting the invitation, Irfan Pathan wrote on X, “The stories, the laughter & the pleasure to be around you is what made the last night special! Looking forward to many more such nights, Sachin paaji.”
Social media users were delighted to see two legendary figures of Indian cricket together. Fans expressed their admiration and respect for the duo in the comment section which was flooded with red heart emojis. A user simply wrote, “Legends in one frame.”
Another fan branded Sachin Tendulkar as “the legend of his time.”

Sharing a picture of Irfan Pathan one social media user wrote, “I remember how you came to Raipur to play Legends League flying from one city to another just to play with him and for his team.”
When Irfan Pathan made his international debut in 2003, Sachin Tendulkar had already cemented his place in the Indian squad across formats by then. The duo shared the dressing room for more than a decade.
Irfan Pathan announced his retirement from all forms of the game in 2020 after representing India in 120 ODIs, 29 Tests and 24 T20Is. The all-rounder was part of the MS Dhoni-led unit which triumphed in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007.
Both Sachin Tendulkar and Irfan Pathan are currently involved in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Tendulkar has been serving the role of a mentor for his former side, Mumbai Indians. The five-time champions have already been eliminated from the IPL 2024 playoff race. Meanwhile, Pathan has been covering the tournament as a part of the official commentary panel.
