The former Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh had revealed a story regarding the Chennai Super Kings legend, MS Dhoni showcasing his aggression after the side’s loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League. However, a member of the CSK support staff suggested that the claims made by the former CSK man as untrue.
Tommy Simsek, who is CSK’s Head Physio Therapist, commented on a post on Instagram where he suggested that the information regarding Dhoni showcasing his aggression is false information.
Simsek left a comment on an Instagram post which stated, “This is absolute Rubbish! MSD did not break anything and I have never seen him aggressive after any match. Fake news!”

While Dhoni is known for his calmness on the field, he has had his fair share of moments where he lost his cool as well. The one incident that remains popular even today is when he walked onto the field to argue with the umpire’s decision to overturn a no-ball that was handed to CSK in a match against Rajasthan Royals in the 2019 season.
The CSK legend, Suresh Raina also revealed an incident in IPL 2014 where Dhoni was not pleased with his side’s batting efforts when chasing down a mammoth total against Kings XI Punjab (now renamed Punjab Kings) in the Qualifier 2 match where a spot in the final was at stake. Even someone like Dhoni can have moments where his emotions are on display. It shows that he is indeed human just like the rest of us.
CSK fans will be eagerly waiting for the news regarding Dhoni’s participation in the 2025 edition of the IPL. With the league’s governing council re-introducing the uncapped player rule which categories Indian veterans as uncapped who last played international cricket five calendar years ago, the franchise will be handed a lifeline to retain the services of the former skipper on a cheaper price tag, thereby extending his time with the franchise as his career comes to an end soon.
Many will hope that the legend can once again showcase his class with the bat as he had displayed last year where he took his finishing skill to a whole new level.
