The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are looking to turn things around after the team’s disastrous performance suffering a 0-2 hammering at the hands of Bangladesh in the recently concluded Test series in Rawalpindi.
According to a report by Geo News, the PCB will hold a ‘Connection Camp’ which includes the board’s senior members to decide their next course of action.

During this camp, they would discuss the idea of changing captaincy in all formats of the game. Earlier it was reported that Babar Azam could be sacked from the captaincy role for the second time and Rizwan being tipped to take over.

Kirsten had already returned to South Africa after submitting a report in July whereas Gillespie was part of the squad for the Bangladesh series and returned to Australia following the defeat.
Pakistan Cricket has been on a downward spiral as they have not been able to dominate in any of the formats. Once a feared side for their stellar talents across the board are now way off from their predecessors.
The team were unable to make it to the knockouts in the 2023 ODI World Cup or the T20 World Cup 2024. Now the bad form has spilt onto the longest format where they suffered a series of defeats against Bangladesh on their home turf.
The board also announced five teams for the domestic tournament, the Champions One-Day Cup. The likes of Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Haris and Saud Shakeel will lead the respective teams.
The PCB will hope that this camp can help get further clarity on how to proceed forward and help the Pakistan cricket team get back on the right track.
