Nothing more needs to be said about Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma as the Indian skipper and six-time Indian Premier League winner, is set to play his 205th match in the IPL as MI take on the Punjab Kings at the Mullanpur Stadium in Mohali.
He has come a long way from being a youngster under the leadership of Australian legend, Adam Gilchrist during his time with the Deccan Chargers to becoming MI’s captain leading them to five titles and making them the joint most successful side in the tournament.
Following the milestone, Rohit will become the second player to play 250 matches in the tournament with the first being none other than MS Dhoni who has a total of 256 matches with Chennai Super Kings and the now-defunct franchise Rising Pune Supergiants.
