MS Dhoni has been polishing his batting skills in a calm and composed mood ahead of Chennai Super Kings’ upcoming match against Lucknow Super Giants.
CSK have shared a clip of their former captain nonchalantly playing a ramp shot during a training session at Chepauk.
CSK have returned to their home ground after losing to LSG in their last game in Lucknow. CSK will look to turn the tables when they take on the same opponents at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.
Dhoni, who was part of CSK’s training on Monday, practiced under the lights.
In the video shared by CSK, captain cool was seen playing a casual, no-look shot.
Dhoni received a short delivery off which he offered a ramp shot before turning to the camera. Expectedly, the post went viral.
The love for Thala was evident in the comment section, which was flooded with numerous red heart emojis. One fan was quick to note, “Thala on 360-degree mode.”
Another user felt that this clip serves as a warning for the death bowlers of LSG. “Do your homework wisely, Super Giants,” the comment read.

In CSK’s last match vs LSG, he arrived at the crease in the 18th over and faced only nine deliveries but still managed to slam three fours and two maximums to score an unbeaten 28.

Riding on his powerful cameo, CSK posted 176 runs on the board. They, however, failed to defend the target.
LSG completed the chase with ease with skipper KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock putting up impressive performances. This was the third defeat for CSK in IPL 2024.
They are placed at the fourth spot in the current IPL standings with eight points from seven matches.
