Yuvraj Singh struck a blazing fifty as India Champions thumped Australia in the semi-final of the World Championship of Legends in Birmingham on Friday. The skipper clobbered five sixes and four fours to register 59 off 28.
Thanks to his devastating show, India Champions produced a mammoth 254 in 20 overs and ultimately registered an 86-run victory.
Yuvraj, who lifted two World Cups during his international career, put up several match-defining performances against Australia during his heydays.
His thunderous show in the WCL semi-final sent fans on a nostalgic trip.

Several Indian cricket fans reacted to the clip and admitted that “Yuvraj Singh has a remarkable history against Australia in knockout matches.”
It was in 2000 when Yuvraj Singh first stepped up against Australia on a big stage. He scored 84 runs off 80 balls in the ICC Champions Trophy quarter-final, helping India win the match by 20 runs.
He was again the top-scorer when the Men in Blue faced Australia in the semi-final of the 2007 T20 World Cup. The Southpaw slammed a quickfire 70 featuring five fours and as many sixes.
In 2011, India overcame Australia to reach the ICC ODI World Cup semi-finals. Yuvraj Singh scored a brilliant half-century, chasing 262 runs in the nervy clash.
He also picked two wickets and was named the Player of the Match.
The allrounder then notched up another fifty against the Aussies three years later in the T20 World Cup. He registered a 40-ball 60 as India won the Super 10 match by 73 runs.
